Collective Fundraising
In 2020, Nuru International began to decentralize its fundraising efforts in order to build the capacity of each Nuru organization to win local funding opportunities. In 2021, these efforts – combined with generous private funding used to launch and grow these organizations – resulted in direct governmental funding being awarded to both Nuru Kenya and Nuru Nigeria. As each member of the Nuru Collective continues to build their fundraising capacity and more funding flows directly into locally-led organizations, Nuru International’s revenues will naturally reduce. As a Collective, however, our combined revenues are growing strong, enabling us to reach even more farmer families each year.
